Why we started Gold Star Sitters

We run a business in Melbourne that places relief educators in kindergartens. We know a lot of good early childhood educators and teachers who want evening and weekend work. We also know parents who want someone like them for a Saturday night and cannot find one. Gold Star Sitters puts the two together.

Gold Star Sitters is an introduction site. Every Gold Star Sitter is a qualified early childhood educator or teacher. We sight the certificate and confirm the name on it matches the profile before the profile goes live. Sitters are independent. They set their own rates and parents pay them directly. We started in the suburbs around Surrey Hills, where we live, and will grow outward as more educators join.
