Set your own rate
Babysitters in Melbourne often charge between $38 and $45 an hour. Your rate is yours to set. You also set your rate after midnight, on public holidays and for three or more children.

One email each evening with jobs within your travel radius that fit your availability. Switch on the short-notice flag and urgent jobs reach you straight away.
One document, once
Upload your qualification certificate. We sight it once, confirm the name on it matches your profile, record the qualification and the date, and delete the copy. We ask for nothing else.
You stay independent
Your rate, your hours, your tax. Parents pay you directly. No insurance comes with the site, so arrange your own if you want it.
Keep your weekdays
Take a Saturday night when it suits you. Pause your profile whenever you like.
What you need

- 4To agree to hold a current Working with Children Check or VIT registration, kept current while your profile is live. We do not check it, parents do.
- 5A photo for your profile.
How joining works
You fill in your profile, upload your certificate and accept the sitter terms. We sight the certificate, confirm the name on it matches your profile and approve it. It appears on the public suburb pages the morning after.
Your Working with Children Check, first aid, police check and references are tick boxes on your profile. We do not collect them. Bring them to interviews, because parents will ask.
When a parent messages you, you see their first name, suburb and children’s ages, enough to decide whether to reply. Your email and phone stay private until you choose to share them.
If you do not log in for 60 days your profile is hidden and we email you. Log in to bring it back.
Tax and insurance
You work for yourself. We do not ask for an ABN and we do not invoice for you. Tax, ABN and super are yours to sort out, and so is insurance. Where to start.
